I managed to soft lock the game by clicking the mouse after you hand in the tablets to the potted leaf. (Chapter 3 spoilers)

I played the game with a controller. Clicking on the screen when the first dialogue option appeared made all options unselected. I was not able to reselect them with any random thing I tried. I was able to pause the game, so I saved and then reloaded that save in hopes that it would let me progress the story. Instead the cutscene was exactly as I left it, except that I can no longer interact with the person who appeared from the potted leaf.

I do not know where this game saves it's save files. if possible, I'm willing to send them to you so that you can better explore this issue.

In addition, in Chapter 2, at the top of the tree right after you gain the ability to glide: if you glide to the left, where the golden leaf is, and keep gliding you can eventually go further than the level's background and find yourself in a blank void.

Thanks for letting us know about this. I have fixed the issue with clicking on the screen deselecting dialog options and that will be up in the next build. We will be taking out the ability to save and load during dialog or cutscenes. It is something that can break the sequence of events in the game.

Hey, I wanted to give in-depth feedback from my playtesting session. (1/2)
To answer your questions:

1) The animation states are fine, they transition smoothly with no problems.

2) I got stuck early on in the tutorial part of the level, in between some rocks. This forced me to restart the game. (See pic below for reference). I also got stuck later during the wall-sliding tutorial section, where you had to jump over the spikes. I tried multiple times but couldn't jump over the spikes.

Now, some more in-depth critique. Here's some personal things I've noticed. (2/2)

  • The jumping mechanic could use work. It's way too floaty, it takes way too long to fall back to the ground after jumping.
  • The Gamepad doesn't work with the Pause Menu, except to open it.
  • I know it's not finished yet, but I can't tell which options in the Settings Menu the sliders are used for, since there's no text or icons attached to them.
  • The color of the UI buttons when they're hovered over could be made a bit darker, so it's more clearer which button's being selected at a time.
  • I wish I could use the D-Pad to move as an option, and not just the Analog Stick.
  • I really like the character design of the player character and logo, great stuff :D

I really hope this feedback helps! The project is coming along nicely, keep up the great work :)

Hi Zach, thanks for playing! We appreciate the feedback! Which build did you play? We have a fix for that issue of getting stuck in between those rocks, but I just wanna make sure that works. Also where did you get stuck during the wall slide tutorial, was it right at the entrance to the cave or further in?
